At home? In the gym? In the mountains? With family? With a certain friend? In a certain place? At a certain time?
For me, I am most fully myself when I am competing with a team on a field or a court, all working together towards a common goal. Next best is working and playing here at Title Nine amongst a group of like-minded individuals, friends really. Working to move T9 forward and sharing a love of sport and fitness.
Here’s to finding that place where we are our best selves and spending more time there. Where is that place for you? Share it with us below.

I am me when I’m running at my local park. The park I’ve played endless lacrosse games on in high school, and the trail I’ve run marathons after marathons on over the years. When sweat bleeds from my pores and there is nothing but the pavement and my body working like a tuned machine to weave around every corner and drive up every hill… I am me…
Age: 43
Previous competitive sports: gymnastics, springboard diving, bicycle racing, volleyball
Current athletic passion: alpine skiing
Raised to be the “athlete” in the family, the majority of my life has been consumed with summer time sports. After moving to Reno, Nevada a year and a half ago, I set forth on a mission to learn to ski. What started as a goal to accomplish, has become a passion…a sport that moves me and lets me “touch the sky” (hard to avoid at 10,000 feet with Lake Tahoe below!). I am my own best self when I can find that sweet spot in the loosely groomed snow and “dance” down the slopes in a rhythm that is truly magical…
I love your products and would love to see you branch into winter sports apparel!
I am my own best self when I am:
– practicing yoga and teaching yoga
– playing with my dog
– enjoying time with my husband and two boys
– writing a communication for a client to convey their message in a powerful way
– helping a client identify a creative solution to a problem
– facilitating an engaging discussion with my clients
I am at my best when I am with my rugby team. On and off the pitch we are an intelligent, caring and athletic group of women ranging in age from 16 to 46. The amount of skill and knowledge that comes out of this team is remarkable; it pushes me to push my limits and be the absolute best I can. I am my best with this team because I am encouraged to be strong, aggressive and smart. This makes me confident in myself!
I am my own best self when I am practicing yoga and breathing in unison with the people on the mats nearby.
I am my own best self when I am rubbing the head feathers of my rescued african gray parrot, showing her that humans aren’t all cruel and neglectful like her former family was.
I am my own best self when I am in session with art therapy clients, really holding the space for them and encouraging them to find THEIR own best selves through the artwork.
I am my own best self on a day when I do all of the above things without pressure, without judgment, and without feeling burdened with obligations…when I do those things out of love and compassion for the world around me.
When I am outside
Standing next to the water, swimming in the water, dangling my toes in the water, floating on the water….and the sun beating down on my face…this is when I am who I was made to be. My sweet spot as they say!
Also, wonderfully fulfilling is kissing my two beautiful daughters after they have fallen asleep. Nothing more precious than that!
My best self is literally when I am wearing Title Nine clothes and participating in the activities I so love, running, pilates or muscle sculpting classes. Then, there is pool running for “down” days or warding off injuries.
I am 54 yrs. old and hope to always continue being active. It is a primary life goal. My mind and mood are at their best when I am moving those muscle cells. Thanks to Title Nine for helping achieve my goals. (It does help performance when you know your workout wear complements the activity.)
I am at my best when at my church group called Reformers Unanimous where I am able to help many men and women with addictions and a host of other illnesses, such as OCD, overeating and the like.
I am my best self when I can keep things in perspective and can see my life through with a wide view lens. When I recognize that the world does not revolve around me or my little clan… When I stop, breathe, and choose how I respond rather than react, a positive ripple effect happens.
Where? Anywhere I can keep it together… but usually teaching. When I can share and express myself through movement. Yoga.
