A: Aside from being badass athletes and business women, they’re all winners of 2022 Pitchfest Outdoor Edition — our fifth annual festival of women entrepreneurs rallying at T9 HQ to pitch their products, connect in community, and engage in a little friendly competition. (more…)
We’re back at it this September with our fifth (!!!) annual Pitchfest Outdoor Edition! Here at Title Nine we’ve spent over 30 years searching high and low for adventure approved gear created by badass women. It takes a lot of grit, patience, and just the right amount of crazy to be an entrepreneur. And that’s just the kind of game-changing spirit we wanna support.
Our 2022 Pitchfest Outdoor Edition finalists are throwin’ down smart, sustainable, creative solutions that really up the ante for the outdoor sports and adventure world. (more…)
For the second year in a row, our minds are blown.
When we started the nonprofit edition of our Pitchfest initiative in 2021, we could only have imagined how many courageous women we’d get to know who are doing the truly hard work of creating impactful programming to support other women.
In this second annual Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition, we’re even more in awe and properly inspired! This year’s applicants shared stories of missions and causes so hard-hitting, we decided to switch up our usual pitch-forward programming and shift gears to a workshop focus where we could dig into new ways to connect in community.
What we really needed was a kitchen table where we could sit with these stories and understand the gritty, practical ways we could help the individual goals of each organization. So we built and filled up our own version of that kitchen table by inviting back a few past finalists and serving up key roundtable discussions with T9 team members, veteran activists, and local leaders. Because we know that it’s not the kitchen table that’s important, it’s who gets in there to pull up a seat.
Before we got down to the nitty-gritty pitching, finalists got to pick up practical strategies in branding and content workshops with T9 marketing pros, ask a bunch of questions in 1:1 mentor meetings, and learn all about power tools at Girls Garage, a local design and construction school.
“Failing is when theory turns to practice, failing is where the learning comes in, failing is what leads to success. But no matter how often we say it, it’s still hard to live it. So we invited entrepreneurs to try a little failing — and succeeding — with us here at T9. The opportunities here are endless.”
Title Nine is the place to be when you’re ready to push your personal goal post further into the aether.
For the past 30 years, Title Nine has been scouring the globe in search of killer products that get women where they want to be – OUTSIDE. Truth be told, it’s a hard feat to accomplish, and we wanted to open the doors to support women makers in the outdoor industry, like us, designing and wear-testing products we’d be proud to sell (and buy)! So three years ago, we started T9 Pitchfest Outdoor Edition, a call to badass women entrepreneurs everywhere to come and join our community of women founders. While it’s never easy building a business, these women have thrived this past (grueling) year and they are now our nine finalists for this year’s Pitchfest:
