Biggest obstacle overcome: Surgery to repair a brain aneurysm in 2005. I had to take break from running for a few months, but 11 months later I ran my first half-marathon.
Secret wish: To be a Title 9 model, or at least have my closet full of its clothes.

What I did to celebrate turning 50: Completed in 11 mountain bike races, 2 half marathons and 1 duathlon totaling about 600 miles on the bike and 32 miles running
