A resolution, well, that’s a lot of pressure. We make grand plans, set big goals, write out long lists. And then, when we don’t accomplish it all we beat ourselves up. So this year, we resolve to not resolve anything. Instead, we will take a first step and see where it takes us. Because if our goal is just to start, we really can’t really fail can we? And that seems like a great way to start out a new year.

I am leading a grass routes effort with community leaders to start an inpatient hospice house in the South Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
I’m going to start being more true to myself and being the real person I should have been born. With Caitlyn coming out it’s given more girls like me the strength to come out and say this is the real me, so move over Donald ” Sherry ” is coming out. Not intended to offend anyone. I purchase from Title 9 for my exercise wear.
I’ll start running races again, after being too afraid to after serious heat illness in 2010.
living the moment
This year I’m training SMARTER for every race I enter, so as not to get injured or burnt out – I’ll eat CORRECTLY as one should when they run ultras, rather than whatever sounds good at the moment (but admittedly I’ll do a bit of that too when the time is right 🙂 ). I’m going to remember I GET to do this, when a lot of people can’t – and I’m going to enjoy myself and my family and the trails and the scenery that surround me…
