Family Turkey Trot day
Three miles through the park
A message carried
by person with large bag
kills no trees
Children filled with GLEE
Awaiting Christmas Morn
Flowing joyous moments!
Crispy winds gusting,
Wrapping memory’s warm cloak
Around her shoulders.
Gently falling leaves
Floating sailing high in the air
Pile on the ground jump!
A hike in the woods
The leaves falling on our path
Sun shining brightly
definite column
working and giving accord

Arizona Winter Holiday
Fat tires spin, rumbling
over desert rock. Winter
cactus loves the sun
I love mountain biking in Arizona, most especially during our crisp, cool Autumn and Winter days…. the air is clear as a bell, the cactus are water-full from late-year monsoons, and the desert smells rich and fecund and golden after rain….. the sky is a deep turquoise cloud-dotted blue, and it’s so blessedly cool I can go and go and go and go……
crisp cool air
rustling leaves
a walk on the trail
Anticipation.
Family and friends gather.
Oh, a special time.
