Quest for simple peace
Strength from warmth light food friends soul
Fleece socks are the best
A leaf skittering
Across an icy pond
New skates being laced
snow, rain, wind, I run
from flowered trees through fall leaves
escape the indoors
snow falling on trees
winter nip chills to the bone
family warms inside
celebrate today,
hanukkah, kwanzaa, christmas,
gather for the feast
Snow and stars and dark
Family and peppermint
With these I am home
Woodsmoke, rain in woods,
Cornbread stuffing and brownies,
Faint whispers of you
Joyful election
We’re running, tears stream, hearts pound
Solstice approaches
peace, love, harmony
living for every moment
being the best me
Wind blows at my back
Feet carry me down the road
Amazing feeling
