Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).

I don’t particularly like paintings and such as artwork for my home. However I do appreciate real items of everyday use as true art. This is a true work or art and I would not use it in the ocean because it should never be destroyed. I own two guitars that I consider art and don’t play them. They are prominently displayed on my wall in my home. This surfboard would be considered art as well. It would forever be in pristine condition. I would be proud to display it as another piece of art in my collection.
Why I Deserve This One-of-a-kind Sweet Ride
I spend many of my days and nights in Hawaii working as a neonatal/pediatric transport nurse. When I am not taking care of sick children I attend graduate school. By far my most important job is being a mother of two awesome boys ages 12 and 15. I pride myself on staying in shape and dream of surfing the Hawaiian waves with my boys. Not only would this sweet ride help me connect with my boys on the waves, it would be a piece of art in our beach style living room.
I am an amateur artist and enjoy drawing large complex nautical scenes. I have been told my drawings are very creative and loving but I am somewhat of a starving artist and my art equipment is not the greatest. I do not have any large easels so I plan to attach my new supercool board to two sawhorses creating a huge platform to create my ginormous drawings. The board will be affixed with quick release fasteners so whenever the waves are most excellent I can quickly free the board to carve the big ones.
Hi, nice posts there 🙂 thank’s for the interesting information
My sister and her husband, and new baby are avid surfers in Santa Monica, CA and their lives have always involved surfing. The complications with their first baby’s birth involving HELLP syndrome and a 6 week early delivery at 3 lbs. 8 oz. makes me feel very blessed to have them all here today. The fragility of life on land and in the ocean comes with the responsibility to cherish and respect both. I wanted to give her and her little one this surfboard so they can continue to enjoy and protect the gifts of the ocean together.
Reading your mini-bios made me sad. I’d never be like the models with direction, will and physical activity. The only thing I knew I wanted to be in life is happy; I just didn’t know how to start. After one pity party I decided to take that first step by joining YMCA. I’ve lost 26lbs. with a long way to go. I have to believe this is the start of my new life, body and soul. It must be working because the bios aren’t depressing. That surfboard may never touch water but it will be my source of inspiration.
I finally left the city streets behind and made my way to a place where you could see the stars again. Now the ocean is calling me—I need to ride her waves and feel the world fall away. I’ll learn to stand on the board and from my vantage point out on the sea I’ll look back towards the shore and see my family waving, yelling for me to carve the waves. Far off in the distance, the heat of the day will make the faint outline of the city I’ve left behind shimmer and fade away.
Tell the good people at Title Nine
That I’m ready to Hang Ten!
The talk on the street is that five Chicago beaches will be lifting the surfing ban from June thru August.
I can hear the waves calling my name-
No wait their calling me names!!
Chicken comes to mind, nearly 50 years old and not one attempt to fulfill a secret fantasy (minus Jeff Spicoli)
With the ban about to be lifted there is only one obstacle holding me back-
An Awesome one-of-a-kind kick*** surfboard.
Please help me find my inner gnarly dude(tte).
I am 20 and a student at Montana State in Bozeman. I love the snow, worship snowboarding and try to get to the mountain everyday. Like everywhere snow melts, grass grows, and I count the days until next winter. Well, I can’t wait this year so I’m going to Hilo Hawaii. This is where you come in. I’ve never stepped on a surfboard in my life, but always wanted to. When I head west I wont know a sole, have much money or things, but I am hoping and praying a new surfboard will be one of them. Aloha.
I am ready to release my inner Gidget, which is huge because I have severe phobia of ocean life, particularly those of the tentacled variety.
