Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).

Hey title nine! I was reading your magizine in my moms room and my eyes caught your blue board shorts and surfer shirts. I immedeatly circled those because i finally found a swimsuit that i could be active in! My cousins live down in southern Cali, and i’m going to visit them this summer, i have always wanted to learn to surf, and if i win this awsome board i will put it to good use!!!! I love the beach, water, and waves and am a natural in the water. I struggle with my weight, which really sucks because i’m 14. But surfing is a must learn for me, and you have to use all your mucsles to surf, so its great excersing and fun. So i hope you pick me!!!! <3 Hannah Nielsen 🙂
My sister inspires me; she’s the consummate athlete – there’s never been a sport she couldn’t tackle. When she signed us up for a woman’s surf/yoga weekend, I had no doubt she’d be hanging 10. I was dreading the surfing. I’m all left feet, but with Ann as my cheerleader, I faced my fear and got on the board. I had a blast – and that experience inspired me to tackle new challenges. This surfboard represents my sister — my biggest champion. This is for her – to say thank you for believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.
I am in the zone, awash pummeled discuraged & tiered, meet another comber then another. ground into the bottom, sand in my teeth, and everywhere else. Saltwater in my eyes.and cold a painful frightening discomfort. Can not must not look back to the beach and wounder what was I thinking?…oh yeah I felt somthing stir and I responded without a thought. But just taking one wave at a time isnt enough why do it? heroics no This is indeed important as for to be abosultuly present for the moment but important isnt my goal ’cause out beyond this I am looking to find clear water where I can see out over the heightening swell to watch a set stack up, savor it and seek the faith in my intuition and hope for the juice to ride….peace
This contest asks for 99 words and I have only one…INSPIRATION. I am 29 years old and have a 13 year old daughter. I am fairly active but have always struggled with my weight. Winning this board would serve as inspiration to lose the weight I need to look as good as the women in your catalog. I truly admire those women for having careers, children, and still finding the time to work out. My goal is to one day get in shape, fit into the Title 9 clothing, and take this board out for a ride!
and slowly I am put down, the water lets me go, calm and soundless ends the massive watery show. And so it is known that surfing is God’s roller coaster, in life itself, to death you cannot get any closer. And so ends the story of the mass midnight wave, to were i will find it and surf it some day.

Goose bumps on my arms tremble to the ocean’s mighty roar, and suddenly i am lifted up, the ocean like a mother carrying me, a large gasp of wind fills my lungs, while I sore amongst the sea.
and suddenly here it comes the death defying wave, with it’s black waves roaring over my head, the golden arches reach, engulfing me into one watery cave, I jump onto my surfboard, I shiver to the ocean’s mighty silver sword.
And so i take the first leap, the cold water greets my sun burnt feet, and i float with my surf board, the ocean life swimming beneath, but there in the distance i portray to see, the black midnight wave with its cage of steel oh so frightening and deep!
and out of the blue i run up to the surf, the moist sand seeps between my toes perched, and so i am out of reach of the tides monstrous grab, the waves crash down like God’s arm, beckoning me to dive in.
