Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.

If I won this surfboard, I would go surfing for the first time in my 25 years of life.
I would dedicate it to my friend Sara*, who went surfing for the first time just over a year ago this month and was struck by a rare injury called surfer’s myelopathy that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
I hope to spread the message about this mysterious injury and promote awareness so that more beginners do not find their first surf ride, their last.

I lived part time in Hawaii for seven years. My husband was based there and while he flew to Japan, I developed wonderful, lasting relationships with women I admired. My ‘circle’ of female friends in the most powerful things I’ve ever encountered. We still get together on a regular basis in Hawaii on Lanikai beach on the island of Oahu.
We continue to do the same activities when I visit; walk the beach, stand up surf, surf, canoe, outrigger canoe (six women), single outrigger canoe, kayak and do yoga together. Since I no longer live there, just visit, I have no surf board to use when I go. I used to have a board that I bought at a garage sale for $5.00. The leach cost $12.00, so the total expense was $17.00. I never felt compelled to buy a pretty board. In fact, the board I had was the ugliest board I ever saw my entire time I was in Hawaii. Everyone who borrowed it was impressed with the way it rode. I ended up leaving the board with a friend and haven’t seen it since.
I would love to have a shiny new board that could be left at my friend Elizabeth’s home that all of us could use when we are in Hawaii. This would greatly add to our equipment available to use and did I mention that I’m the youngest in our ‘circle’? I’m 53 years young and have many good years left to encourage and mentor younger women to never think of themselves as unable to do anything they put their minds to. Mahalo!
Aloha,

Forty-four is the new twenty-two, right? I want to show my teenager that I can “hang” with he and his friends, but I’m still Mom and will take care of all of the things Mom’s should take care of. I want to relax more and work less. I want to throw on a Sweet Dream dress or skort and spend my time outdoors with my friends and family. I want to look and feel like one of the TitleNine models – – Carla -Occupation: Event Planner; Fruit: Mango.
I want to stop looking at catalogs and wishing to be like the woman in them. I want to be her – – A strong, healthy woman with a really cool surfboard 🙂
Hello. My name is Mary and I’m married to a man from CA. for the past 12 years. Surfing is his passion and as parents to 3 children we spend a lot of time at the beach. Our 8 yr. old daughter received her first “training” board last summer and she loves it. My goal is to learn to surf so I can share this passion with my husband and the children. His sincere love of surfing is contagious and I would love to share his joy! Thank you for your consideration.
When my mother began recovering from a long bout with cancer, after her final round of chemotherapy, we went to the beach for some R&R. For 30 years, she has enjoyed the same vacation activities: shopping, dining out, reading… But on this trip, I expected her to mostly rest. What I didn’t expect was her answer when I asked what she wanted to do… “I want to surf. And snorkel. And ride a sled down the dunes… and try everything I’ve always been afraid to try”.
Her first surf lesson will be this summer- just before her 6oth birthday…
I’m changing my life! I was laid off from my marketing job in December, and am making lemons out of lemonade! Yoga is my new passion, I’m working on my chakras, in particular the x chakra and water is so important to that. I’m starting a business called Nip Tuk Travel which takes me to Costa Rica frequently – and at nearly 50 years old I have just discovered how much I LOVE to surf! The power of the ocean, the saltiness of the water, the beauty of the sky, the freedom it represents. I have lost 20 pounds, toned and lengthened my muscles and love my health club Pura Vida, am participating in a mini triathalon for the first time in August. Title 9 clothes are perfect for all my new activities – and I live down the street from the Cherry Creek store so can ride my bike over to see what’s new. This surfboard would be put to great use and thoroughly enjoyed – it would have a great home!!

Help me give wings to an angel. Let him fly and float and hope that his first “wave” will last forever because he won’t be with us long. Let the board be a distraction to all the medical equipment in his room and remind him of the ride he took with his aunt. Supermom also needs the board to learn to relax again and take ten to hang ten just for her, even when every moment is for him. Surfing is synonymous with carefree, courageous and cool. Let these moments remind them who they are.
The sound, smell, and sight of Mother Ocean has always been alluring to me. I have always been driven to share my experiences with her through surfing. She; awes me, speaks to me, intrigues me, and motivates me. She is awesome, powerful, punishing, healing, and peaceful. I want to share my life with her through surfing. We are meant to be one. This board would be the catalyst to the beginning of a new relationship with the most powerful women we can ever know, Mother Ocean.
At 34, it’s time for a change of pace in my increasingly dulling life.
I’d run for office, but I’m all paid up on my taxes. I’d enter a beauty pageant, except that I still believe in traditional marriage. And I’d love to be a T9 model, but my name isn’t “Sundance”, and I’ve never delivered triplets while summiting Mt. Everest.
This plain American Jane has neither the naughty, naïve, nor the nirvana required to break into the overstuffed scene of American celebrity. Therefore, I’m leaving the land of the Big Gulp, for a place where I can carve my niche in unsplintered wood. I’m moving to Nicaragua, to become an extreme volcano surfer!
I only need two things before I can leave:
1. A sweet surfboard
2. Someone to break the news to my mother
Can you help me?
This board would be a perfect companion for the many adventures awaiting. As an unemployed 26 year old, I recently was laid off as a pharmaceutical sales representative which has allowed me to appreciate life in so many new ways. I have been using my spanish skills to give back to the poverty stricken latino community and would love to continue exploring, traveling and finding myself while giving back to people and would love to bring this beautiful surfboard along the ride for many many great waves!
