Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.

A good friend of my niece died in April following a surfing accident. A freshman, she played soccer, softball, and surfed with her high school team. At middle school, she was a valedictorian and set the school high jump record.
Her parents requested donations for a rose arbor at her school. I cannot presently afford to donate much.
I want to win this surfboard so that I may auction it off and donate the proceeds. There were 150+ people at the paddle-out in honor of this remarkable young woman, so the bidding pool will be large and competitive.

my last comment seemed very lame, since turning 50 i have learned how to scuba dive, ride a motorcycle, went back to school to become a massage therapist and have traveled to 13 islands searching and seeking serenity. surely winning and learning to ride the waves should be next.
As a 44 year old mom of 2 college kids and a 13 year old, I am starting over in life single, broke (kinda) and very energetic. Having lived in California the past 13 years and the rest in the midwest, I never allowed myself the chance to surf. Well, by golly, forget waiting. I am READY. I am frankly tired of opportunity to come to me. I am seeking out unknown territories alone or if anyone wants to join me. That’s cool too. My kids will be so jazzed when I show them pics of me surfing.
would love to win so i would then be forced to learn and my birthday is monday may 11th. I WILL BE 54!!!
Hey Emilita,
Check out this contest. Submit your short essay before June 1st and you could win this surfboard. I think you should give it a shot! I just placed a small order with this catalog company for two bras. Have you been to their store in Portland OR? Do you know where it is? You might find good biking and surfing clothing there. You are in my heart always, love,
Mami
I’m 31 years old and my husband and I just had our first child, a wonderful little boy named Jackson. He’s now one month old, and the light of my life.
I grew up in NJ and spent the summers on the Jersey Shore with my grandparents. My uncle taught me to ride waves when I was eleven, and I am a complete fish during the summer. I love the beach and spend most of my summer (as much as possible) in the water.
Now all grown up, with a family of my own. My husband and I live in RI and I am recovering from an emergency cesarian section (my son was spinning in the womb and wound up with a neclace of umbilical chord instead of puka shells). I am looking forward to this summer and getting back into my pre-baby shape. I would love to win this board and use it on the beach this summer to gain back all my core strength.
And down the line, be able to teach my son to ride so we can share summer time together at the beach.
Hello title nine,
I deserve that lovely surfboard because I will truly appreciate how it feels under my feet. I am a strong woman, not unlike those in your catalog. My husband and I (and two little ones) have an organic vegetable farm in Northern VT. Enough about my life though, why I want that surfboard: I was thirteen when I started skate boarding, that’s thunderous under your feet. Before we had kids, I was blessed with a season’s pass at Jay Peak, where the snow drifts and the woods were glorious, on a snow board, like a dance, as if I were on a wave. I deserve it because I will appreciate it under my feet.
My 15 year old daughter just had heart surgery. She has been through so much this last year, and she is so positive about it. Even after missing so much school, she worked hard and finished her sophomore year with a 4.0. She works so hard and I want to get her a great gift for a birthday. She LOVES to surf, ever since she was little. She would love this board and want her to know how proud I am of her. I want to congratulate my girl for everything she does and give her a gift that she will never forget. I want to put a smile on her face, and I know how important surfing is to her. Thank you.
I don’t want the surfboard, I want something more useful, like one of your nifty watches or some Sporty Mary Janes. Why? Because I’m a 49-year-old single working mother of 2. I live in NC, not Hawaii. I don’t have time to surf and even if I did, I don’t live in the right place
Three reasons why I deserve something more useful from Title Nine: One, my Ironman watch broke so now I’m a single working mom who doesn’t know what time it is and doesn’t have a watch to see how fast she’s running 3 miles these days. Two, I have been a Title Nine customer for years. Three, I’m a 2-time breast cancer survivor. Any woman who survives divorce once and cancer twice all in the span of 3 years deserves something better than a surfboard which she can’t ever use. How about a gift certificate from Title Nine so that I can buy what I really want and need?
As a 51 year old American woman living part time in Costa Rica, I caught my first wave at at age 50. After my husband purchased a hotel in Manuel Antonio I became interested after seeing young girls surfing on my daily beach walks. I would love to win the board to donate for the annual fundraiser to support the lifeguards in our area. Many of these lifeguards donate their time as the community does not have enough money to pay them. The Manuel Antonio area is full of young girls learning to surf, and without lifeguards watching over the area it can be dangerous.
