Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.

We live near the sea, Ophelia and me.
She’s a little fish now, but growing up, WOW!
Shall I teach her to run, to jump and to play?
She’s a natural already, what else can I say?!
But surfing, we haven’t, at least not yet.
With a cool board from Title nine, we’ll be sure to get wet!
From all the big waves, we never will cower
Just as in life, we show our girl power!
I want to encourage all women over 40 to pick up their board and get moving. I got my first surfboard at age 40 for Mother’s Day and the following summer I went to surf camp with my son. I was known as the “surf mom” at camp because I was the old lady in the group by YEARS! I want to be an inspiration to all women, regardless of age, that YOU CAN DO IT! Let’s get moving Mom’s and Dad’s and be an inspiration to our kids to get away from the TV. The best days of my life have been making a fool of myself at the beach with my son and his friends! I want to prove that you don’t have to be an expert to catch a wave – just get out there and paddle (OMG) and DO IT – who cares what someone sitting on the beach with a book thinks! If I win this board I will invite one of those Mom’s to Hang 10!!!!!!!!!
Having lived in a beach-side burg in Florida my whole life long, I know the taste of the sea spray on the air and the feeling of the hot sand beneath my feet. But though I have been a skate boarder, skim boarder, and body boarder throughout my youth, I have yet to stand tip-toe on a surfboard. It would be an adverturesome athlete’s dream fulfilled to strike out into that salty blue on my own board for the first time; it would the fulfillment of my identity as a Florida girl.
We r ready to go suffing!
Reasons why I should win:
1) I really want to learn to surf
2) That board is awesome
3) I live in Southern California, one of the surfing capitals of the world
4) I own multiple swimsuits from Title Nine which would go well with a new board from Title Nine
5) An eco-friendly board would be perfect for my ideology as I am broke because I just spent a ton of money wiring up my house to solar energy to make it independent from the electrical grid.
6) And I think everyone should get a subsidy to do #5
I grew up in New England, 1/2 an hour from the coast and never learned to surf. I now reside on the west coast, 1/2 an hour from the coast and still don’t know how to surf!!!!! Winning a sweet board like the one on the T-9 website would give me the big PUSH that I need to get out there and learn how to ride the waves☀
I recently married my best friend and one month after our wedding he left for the Navy. He’s an avid surfer and misses the feel of the waves. He says it’s undescribable and you will only understand when you grab that board and set out for the ride. Over the years I’ve grown extremely affraid of sharks and haven’t allowed my husband to teach me how to surf although we are only an hour from gorgeous beaches. As a gift to him and myself, I’m attempting to overcome my fear and am setting out with some girlfriends and my Mom to Costa Rica to learn! Right after the trip, I’m going to see my husband for the first time in 3 months and I want to surprise him with all I conquered! I would love to show off on the 7′ Carve Surfboard, so help me with my goal PLEASE!!!
I don’t deserve to win more than anyone else but it would be easier to convince my husband that we need to go on that long needed vacation if I told him that I won a surfboard. We live in the Midwest and we have 4 children under 9 so we are very busy. We have never taken our kids to the beach and I have never tried to surf but am athletic enough to have a blast trying master it.
If I won this surfboard I would give it to my best friend (my soul friend). I say she is my soul friend because she has saved my soul (my spirit) everyday that I know her. She is an incredible person that has endured a lot of lose in her life. But she continues to be always have a smile or a listening ear for anyone she meets. She is the silliest, happiest, active person I know. She loves every single sport, game, activity there is (she is the biggest adult sized kid). She made her dream of moving to Indonesia come true this year all she can talk about is the surfing in Bali. She told me she used to surf when she was in college but has not tried since (she is 45 years old). I would love to be able to give her this surf board as I cannot think of any one more deserving. She has never complained once about the things she has gone thru and she has helped me and hundreds of others by being the great person she is.
A pathetic plea to “help a girl out!”
I met “the guy!” I am 35 years old and sound like a gushy teenager. IT IS ABOUT TIME! I met him in CA while racing Hobie Cat’s (sailboats). He surfs. I have always wanted to surf (hard living in MN). He could teach me which gives me an excuse to see him again.
Like many of you, I want to have many chapters in my life teaching my daughter about girl-power as she surfs, sails, or…
I need to have this chapter first! Send me good vibes – either way!
