Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.
Aloha!
Our names are Kate and Laney. You might ask why four and a half-year-old twins want to surprise their Mom with this really special surfboard? Well, we will tell you! Mama Gail grew up in Hawaii and loves the water! She goes paddle-boarding, swimming and boogie-boarding! Someday, she’s going to teach us to surf! We love watching her because she’s already like a professional. This surf board would make her even better! It would be a great surprise! Mom is very nice and really deserves nice thngs like this. Thank you!

Surf, Baby Girl, surf.
Those waves, wahine, aren’t just the young dudes’ turf.
Were I to – wahoo! — ride a big fat swell,
That’s the message my sweet board would tell.
My girls and their friends I can already hear beg,
“That’s so cool, we want to try, too — to shred!”
Hang ten, cowabunga, and all that goofy feet fun stuff,
It’d belong to them, too, alongside the dolls, the dresses, the proverbial powder puffs.
Surf, American Girl, surf,
And, every time, breezily leave behind,
A world of happy or hurt.
Surfing Seniors! In today’s busy life many of us enjoy leisure activities that others cannot afford. I have dedicated 23 years of my life to serving the disenfranchised who live on the fringe of society. I currently work with Seniors First in Orlando, Florida. We provide care for the elderly to stay in their homes by providing meals, personal care, respite care and other services. I need the board to donate it to Seniors First for an auction to raise money to provide for the needs of elderly who built this country. I intend on bidding for the board.
I would REALLY love to win this board. If I win it, it will be my only birthday gift. We just moved to Florida and I would love to spend time with my three children, particularly my little girl, out on the warm waves with the dolphins (and sharks!). I will take good care of this very special board! Life has been too complicated over the years, I want to feel alive again, and I know that surfing is just the right thing! Plus I promised my daughter that we’d find a mermaid!
When I’m elbow deep in laundry and diapers, this board will be my escape. When I’m searching for just a little magic with which to touch my children’s day, this board will be my inspiration. When I’ve pushed my thirty- something body to the extreme while training for my mountain marathon, this board will be my solace. When I always seem to come up short of the perfection I expect of myself, this board will be my confidant. This board will be the piece of the puzzle, that is sometimes scattered, to finding ME again. That ME deserves this.
During the summer my mom and I go to California to visit my great grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and just lost her husband. We know how important our visits are, but they are draining and heart wrenching. We eat in silence at our favorite Zen restaurant and watch the waves in an attempt to detox before we return home. I would love to teach my mom how to surf on this summer’s pilgrimage, providing some much needed bonding time. I’m sure you’ll agree, some of fun in the sun would be the best therapy possible.
Thank you
It’s my birthday on June 1st and I would LOVE to have this very cool board for my birthday gift! I used to surf when I was younger, however, my board got stolen and I couldn’t afford to buy another one. Now I have three kids and I still can’t afford one! We recently moved to Florida and my kids are learning to surf. If I had this board, I could teach my ten year old daughter to surf. We don’t have a very tight bond, and I would love to make surfing our special thing that we do together. Is it too late to be cool on a surfboard at 39?
I am a new divorced 50 year old woman starting over. I have 2 sons, 23 and 13 and a 22 year old daughter. My sons took up surfing last year on Lake Michigan and I have been left on the beach to watch….. this summer I want to be out there with my boys having fun in the surf of Lake Michigan…. it is time for me to be a kid again and enjoy life with my kids.
Wow, is all I can say about the board. I just recently spent 10 wonderful days in Maui. Wish I would had the board. I am middle age (47) however, age is just a number to me. I want to see the world, experience everything, and just be free. Nonetheless, I am the responsible adult –wife, mom, registered nurse, pilates student, yoga, (get the picture). Some would say that I am to old to learn to surf; however, my response is I am to young not to learn. So, hey give me a break, or a chance to catch a wave or even relocate to my dream home of Hawaii. Well everyone can win with Title Nine’s
aloha
I have always tried to be a positive influence for my children. My daughter, at nine, is at a tough spot in her life. She has been bullied a lot in school and lacks self confidence. If I won this surfboard, I could help build up her confidence by teaching her to paddleboard and surf when we go on vacation. My husband and I have taught our kids taekwondo, football, to hunt and fish, even archery and to shoot a gun. I want my daughter to feel empowered and strong. Please help!!!
