When our first annual Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition application went live in March, we crossed our fingers and hoped that we would get at least nine organizations to apply and participate.
Turns out we were super, super wrong about that.
After sorting through 92 applications, we invited our top nine finalists to T9HQ for two days of connecting, learning, and story-telling – and the results completely blew us away.
We’ve seen first-hand the power of women and what can be achieved when we come together, lift one another, and empower our communities. For our first annual Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition, we had the tough task of choosing our top nine from 92 – yes, 92! – applicants. This year of COVID has tested moms of every stripe in ways that we could not have imagined. If we are full-time moms, full-time has meant “non stop.” If we work outside the home, it has also meant “non-stop.” COVID has, at times, required more than we can give and often a marital re negotiation of shared responsibilities. The social and familial bonds that we carefully tend have been stretched and even (temporarily) broken. (more…)
