Working Out
What gets me through a long run? Going downhill. Colicky nights…. Thank goodness after 4 kiddoes, it’s a thing of the past… But, nursing, singing and a good rocking chair help… A long day at work? Protein bars and coffee! What gets me to the summit….one step at a time….or, try the Incline in Manitou Springs, CO to test your mettle and intestinal fortitude at reaching a summit. 😉 I don’t know if I have a mantra, per se…. But, as a biology professor and science teacher…. Leaving someone, anyone, with a little more knowledge at the end of the day… Rocks my world! 🙂
A good rocking chair, coffee, testing your mettle, imparting knowledge – that sounds like a pretty good mantra to us!
When I was in my very early 20’s, a gentleman of significant stature, referred to me as being ” a racehorse.” There have been too many times when I have forgotten his comment. It was 40 years ago. But, he was correct, I remain a racehorse, not giving up and giving life my best shot.
Beautiful. Love this!
Grace and Courage.

Pray, Pray, Pray
Great words to start a Leap Year Monday! I am a baby boomer affected by Title Nine legislation and benefited by learning a lifelong sport that keeps me young at heart and mind (tennis).
I live by motivating words such as – 24 hours makes a big difference & get out of your own way!
Your company promotes such a great mindset for females! Thank you!
Thanks Mary Ann! It’s women like you that inspire us every day.
“I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult” – EB White
Love this quote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome quote. It may have to be my new favorite, I’d never heard it before. Thanks for sharing!
I adore E.B. White !
Find your edge.
Wow…not many of these words. Self centeredness has never gotten me far, but something I fight against. I am all too human! Thankfulness for the gifts I have been given, prayer to use those gifts as God intended, even though I stumble and fall often lifts me up again. Soaking up forgiveness and feeling the strength of God moves me forward with joy at such love, then it oozes out on my world and makes me smile…and maybe others can smile too.
Teach me to walk the soft Earth as a relative to all that live.
Sweeten my heart and fill me with light.
Give me the strength to understand and the eyes to see.

The POWER of Nine statement in the catalog is an offensive message. Not a message that women today should embrace. Pushing limits and pushing your luck is bad advise. Along with eat your prey, bare arms, burn rubber, burn bridges, hesitate, break rules. The message is that of some kind of entitled attitude that has no place in the world we are trying to make better with each day.
Take my name and address off of the mailing.
Hi Emily, we’re sorry to see you go, but if you’re interested in being taken off our mailing list you can do so by choosing “Remove me from your catalog mailing list,” from the drop down menu at the top of this page: http://www.titlenine.com/ancillary/catalogrequest.do.
You should be off of the mailing list ! If you do not truly understand the power of those words. A woman must break rules, burn bridges and push the many limitation’s that others have created, or end up asking her husband permission to
hold a job, ride a century, think for herself.
I know because I left a marriage where I “had to” ask permission.
Good Luck
