What I Learned at Harvard Business School

By Missy Park • May 28th, 2010 • Category: Missy's Musings

Last spring I took a 3-week crash course in business at Harvard.

  • I learned that if I had gone to business school, I probably never would have gone into business.
  • I learned a few tricks, a new way to look at the numbers.
  • I came away with newfound appreciation for the skills of a really gifted professor.

But mostly I learned that business for profit is hard work, but BUSINESS WITH A PURPOSE CAN BE TRANSFORMATIVE.

This is so true. Making the numbers work is the toughest part of the organization. Keeping the group motivated and happy and on target is the other requirement. Thank goodness you had the opportunity to experience the three week course to allow you to see both sides. Keep striving and delivering and motivating. Missy’s musing are truly motivational for all who partake.
