I'm always looking for ways to show the girls that history can be fun! (I teach at an all-girls high school.) We're covering FDR and the Great Depression, so your column with FDR's most famous quote in the title is perfect! I also noticed that one of your dresses comes in "Union Blue," and that will be a perfect way to see if the students remember anything about the Civil War! (Fingers crossed...) There is so much to be thankful for every day. Watching the news just isn't part of my life anymore. At my gym most of the cardio equipment faces tv's with all channels on a news report of some kind. So it's rowing, or biking on the four bikes facing away from the news for me. Most days cardio outside. Then best said 'when did gossip become news?' Missy, all of what you said is so true!
