We like to make it a habit to get into trouble, but with the best intentions of course! 😉 What do you do to make trouble? Share with us in the comments below!
I am the co-owner of a group running program, runnerpeeps, in Raleigh, NC. My husband is the certified coach. I run, encourage/cajole/smack talk our runners, organize team events, and generally stir up trouble. I once put a rubber chicken in my friend’s 20 mi drop bag for a 40 mi trail ultramarathon we were doing. Another running buddy dubbed me the Director of Shenanigans. And my blog is called Running with Scissors.
I’m a fencer, in competition the sport is segregated by sex, men fence men, women fence women.
I found that a local fencing club basically enforces the segregation of male and female fencers at their club (most clubs have mixed fencing)
How do I make trouble? When I go to that club I male sure to fence everyone. The look of surprise and then respect that I receive from male fencers at this club when I ask them to fence and then hold my own or beat them is priceless.
I am in training for my 115th triathlon (31 years of racing tris!) and get up at four to run or swim or lift before I have to be at my preschool where I am a speech/language pathologist for kids who have disabilities. I run circles around the kids and the other adults all day long and have enough energy on most days to get in a second workout after a nine hour work day. I will be 60 this year and it’s my 38th year of working in the public schools. Cheers!
