  1. Before I moved to Wyoming, where there is usually too much snow to do this on Thanksgiving, a bunch of friends would gather at a university field and play Ultimate Frisbee on Thanksgiving morning. It was a great workout with friends before the big feast.

On thanksgiving day while the turkey is cooking and husband is playing flag football, I run my annual 5k that the city of sandy helds, being cold in November in Utah I think it discourage a lot of people but not me I love it

Our family sponsors an annual “Turkey Bowl” for all of our friends on Thanksgiving morning where we have a flag football game! Mostly for the kids, the adults join in as well. It’s very inspiring on a crisp cool morning! In Boise, Idaho

In Jacksonville, FL on Thanksgiving morning, the Outback Steakhouse sponsors a half marathon and 6K . It is put on by !st Place Sports who collect food or cash for the Mandarin Food Bank. It’s a great way to start the day–if I have the miles, I run the half. If not, it’s the 6K for me. Happy Thanksgiving :0)
