I voted for Esther-her Haiku reminded me of Edna St Vincent Miilay’s poem about gardening in the dark. We women don’t always get our chores done on time. Here is part of it.

    Portrait By A Neighbor

Before she has her floor swept
    Or her dishes done,
    Any day you’ll find her
    A-sunning in the sun!

    It’s long after midnight
    Her key’s in the lock,
And you never see her chimney smoke
    Til past ten o’clock!

    She digs in her garden
With a shovel and a spoon,
    She weeds her lazy lettuce
By the light of the moon…..

Congratulations to both Shelley & Kyle. The talent in the Robillard family never ceases to amaze us all. :) Good luck Shelley. You go girl!

  3. Esther says:

This has been so fun! I couldn’t believe I was a finalist – I should forget to make dinner more often. So from the freezing cold and snow-covered North Shore of Boston, I can say that even if I don’t win our twinkle lights are lovely!

    Thanks,
    Esther
