Women Run It

Women Run It

A fit woman is fit for everything — fit to run, fit for duty, fit for office, fit for life, and fit to lead. As a woman-led company, we believe there is a seat at the table for more businesses like ours: by women, for women.

Meet a few of the trailblazing women running the companies we are proud to work with. Like us, they believe in the power of women to change the world, if we could just get our workout in!

Thanks to You, More Women Will Run

On Inauguration Day, we pledged to give 9% of sales, online and in stores, to support women running for office. We are proud to share that we raised $15,000 together, to support the non-partisan nonprofit organization, She Should Run.

Thanks to you, we are helping to expand the pool of future female elected leaders. Since the election, She Should Run has welcomed thousands of new women of all parties into their programs–programs which, in the past, have served just a few hundred women.

“The She Should Run team is truly grateful and energized by your support! Know that this donation will go a long way towards our team scaling our services for the over 7,000 new women in our programs now.” – Clare Bresnahan, Executive Director, She Should Run

T9 Gives Back to Sports!

Back to Sports We are proud to help get women and girls off the sidelines and into the game, with programs like our Back to Sports Fridays. A portion of our retail proceeds each Friday in September went to supporting women’s and girls’ sports teams. We gave out over $18,000 across our 23 retail locations!

Our retail stores have always supported local athletes; but this year, for the first time, all 23 stores invited their local communities to nominate their favorite amateur teams, and we were we blown away by all the amazing stories!

It was a tough job, but each store picked a winning team to receive the proceeds from not just one, but four shopping events in the month of September. Check out some of their stories below. (more…)

Triumph. Fail. Just Get in the Arena!

Teddy Roosevelt’s famous In the Arena speech has been firing us up lately, so we asked some of the gals at Title Nine to share a time they took a risk, ignored the critics, and – whether triumph or fail – got in the arena.

Kristina, Magnificent Merchant

“The only fall sports for girls at my middle school were volleyball or cheerleading, but I wanted to try out for soccer. The boys’ soccer coach discouraged me from playing, but I tried out for the team anyway, and made it! I went on to become an all-county player and the team captain in high school.”

Erin, Chief People Person

“I had always wanted to learn improv, but being in front of an audience without a safety net felt pretty scary. I finally decided to jump in and try one class. I’m so glad I took that risk! I ended up loving it and have been learning, performing, and teaching improv ever since.” (more…)

Getting Girls Off the Sidelines

thumbnail-2At Title Nine we are committed to helping girls and women get off the sidelines and onto the field. We know firsthand that the power of sports and teamwork can shape who we are, and who we grow to become. That’s why we are hosting Back to Sports Fridays this September. Shop at any of our Title Nine stores on Fridays in September and 9% of our sales will be donated to local girls’ or women’s sports teams.

During the month of August, we invited folks in our 23 retail regions to nominate their favorite amateur sports teams. Each store then had the fun-but-difficult job of reading all the nominees’ stories and choosing one winner per store. We were blown away by the amazing stories of female athletes, and the teams that have shaped them! Read on for just a few of the impressive athletes chosen by our stores:
